❓ How is Retinal different from retinol?

Retinal (retinaldehyde) is one step closer to the final active form in the skin than retinol. Theoretically it should work faster and more effectively with similar tolerability. However, every skin reacts individually, so a gradual start and monitoring your reaction are important with Retinal too.

❓ Can I combine the serum with vitamin C?

The serum already contains stable vitamin C (3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid), so additional vitamin C is not necessary. If you want to use a separate vitamin C, apply it in the morning and the Retinal serum in the evening.

❓ Is the serum suitable for sensitive skin?

Retinal is a strong active ingredient, although gentler than pure retinoic acid. If you have sensitive skin, start very gradually, once a week, and watch the reaction. Liposomal technology and soothing ingredients such as Niacinamide and ginseng help reduce irritation.

❓ Can I use the serum with AHA or BHA acids?

Do not combine them on the same evening. Alternate every other evening, or use acids in the morning (with SPF) and the Retinal serum in the evening. Combining several strong active ingredients at once can lead to irritation.

❓ Why do I have to use SPF after applying the serum?

Retinoid products increase the skin's sensitivity to UV radiation. Without SPF you risk pigmentation, irritation and worsening the condition you are trying to improve. At least SPF 30 every day is a must.
